Kareena is super occupied despite Short Term Shaadi moving ahead

A couple of months back we had reported how the festive month of October would be ruled by Kareena Kapoor since she would have (tentatively titled) Short Term Shaadi and Ra.One releasing next to each other. However, this won't be the case anymore as her Imran Khan starrer film won't be arriving anymore in the same month.

"While the makers of Ra.One had already finalised 26th October as D-day months ago, Karan Johar too had confirmed bringing Short Term Shaadi on 7th October. It was also being said that due to arrival of a film each from Karan and Shah Rukh, Bollywood had come to realise the might of this friendship as no other filmmaker was daring to arrive in the same month, let aside clashing heads-on", comments an industry insider.

However, one had always wondered that in this display of might, what would have gone into Kareena's mind. Reason being that since she was the leading lady of both the biggies, there was always an expectation of gruelling times ahead due to massive promotional grill involving both the films.

"Guess Kareena can heave a sigh of relief now", says a PR expert, "With Short Term Shaadi moving to November or even beyond, she would be able to entirely concentrate on Ra.One during the weeks leading to its Diwali release. In any case, in a month from now she would get busy with the promotion of her other biggie, Bodyguard."

The Salman Khan action thriller arrives in Eid and releases on 31st August. If Short Term Shaadi would have stuck to its 7th October plan, it would have meant three films for Kareena in a span of just two months, something that she would have certainly avoided.

"No one knows whether Kareena requested for a shift in release date of Short Term Shaadi or Karan Johar himself decided to arrive later. However, it is a win-win situation for all. Let's bear in mind that this is a good situation for Imran Khan as well. His Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan release in July and August respectively. Even he would have wanted to avoid an immediate next release in October. Remember what happened to his Break Ke Baad last year when it arrived so soon after I Hate Luv Storys", continues the insider.

One wonders though whether Kareena is completely relieved though. After all, another biggie of hers, Agent Vinod, is all set to release on 9th December. Not just that, her yet untitled Aamir Khan starrer is also confirmed for January. With August, October, December and January already booked, it's the case of 'too many films but hardly any slots' for Kareena.
