Karan Johar regrets talking about his fallout with Kajol in public : Bollywood News

Karan Johar and Kajol have been friends for years and in fact, the former not only assisted in films starring her but also made his directorial debut [Kuch Kuch Hota Hai] featuring her and Shah Rukh Khan. From being a part of his Koffee With Karan shows to doing cameos for him, their relation was known to all until they had an ugly fallout in 2016. The reason was Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed with Kajol’s hubby Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.

Although Kajol never spoke about her spat with friend Karan Johar in the media, he went on to talk about the same in public which he now seems to regret. During a show hosted by Neha Dhupia, Karan revealed about his regrets wherein he maintained that he had acted on impulse then. Furthermore he expressed about how upset he is since it is all been archived now and that it can never be taken away. Talking about how those were his feelings then [when the fallout happened], he also believes that a one-on-one confrontation would have been a great way to sort out matters.

However, amidst all of this, the filmmaker asserted that his relation with Kajol in the past is strong enough to have a 2.0 version of their friendship.

Elaborating on how the entire fallout came to an end, Karan Johar spoke about the time when he announced the news of the birth of his babies. The director-producer texted Kajol about this good news, wherein he stated that he wanted the actress to see his babies personally rather than looking at their pictures in newspapers or social media. So he sent out the images of his twins [a son and a daughter] but also added that she need not reply to the message. But what surprised him, was the sweet response given by Kajol who not only wished well for the babies but also wished well for him by replying that she hopes the kids shower their love on him like the way her kids do it for her.

Her response not only left Karan Johar happy but he also hoped to rekindle his relation with his long lost friend and actress Kajol.
