Amid this excitement, filmmaker Karan Johar took to Instagram on September 23, 2024, sharing a cryptic yet telling message about privilege. Many speculate that the post was inspired by his own experience with the Coldplay ticket rush.

Karan Johar’s Take on Privilege

Sharing his thoughts through an Instagram Story, Johar wrote: “Dear privilege, I love that Coldplay and the mini Kelly always keep you grounded... you can't get everything you want, my darling … Lots of love… Frugal.”

While Karan didn’t clarify whether he himself missed out on securing a ticket, fans quickly took notice of the possible connection. The post hints at how even those perceived to be privileged face moments of unfulfilled desires.

Coldplay’s India Tour 2025

Coldplay is set to perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, 2025, as part of their global Music of the Spheres tour. Fans across India have been eagerly waiting for the British band's return to the country, with their previous concert in 2016 becoming a cultural milestone.

The overwhelming demand for tickets left many unable to attend, resulting in Coldplay fans flocking to social media to voice their joy or frustration.

On the work front, Karan Johar is gearing up for the release of his next production, Jigra. Produced in collaboration with actress Alia Bhatt, this action thriller is directed by Vasan Bala and explores the strong bond between siblings, played by Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The film's teaser has already generated buzz ahead of its October 11, 2024, release during the Dussehra festival.
