On Thursday, Karan Johar took to his Instagram account to share a photo of himself with the award. He wrote, “Honoured and humbled to have won the @forbesindia ICON OF EXCELLENCE AWARD! Grateful for doing what I love the most …. Telling stories. Styled by @ekalakhani.”

At the event on Thursday night, Karan said, “This is so wonderful and such an honour coming from Forbes which is such an illustrious platform to receive an award. It says Icons of Excellence and I think all the creative artists can do is constantly strive for excellence. I am not sure I am quite there yet. This is very humbling.”

Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s web series Showtime starring Emraan Hashmi dropped on Disney+ Hotstar. He is also gearing up for the release of Sidharth Malhotra starrer Yodha.
