Karan Johar drops more photos from Yash and Roohi’s birthday celebrations: “Going through a purple patch” : Bollywood News

Filmmaker Karan Johar recently celebrated the birthday of his twins Yash and Roohi. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director welcomed his two children via surrogacy in 2017. He continues to share their adorable moments on social media. Sharing more photos from the birthday bash, Karan penned a thoughtful note.

Karan Johar shared an array of photos with Yash, Roohi and his mother Hiroo Johar. He wrote, “Going through a purple patch!!!! My world ….The idea of balloons are more than a decoration to me… they have always represented joy and celebration and a magical feeling of happiness ….My first film is full of them … and even now my inner child comes alive when I have them around … Am so happy to have passed on my joy of balloons to my twins … who overreact as much to them as I do…. Thank you @ekalakhani for always dressing the family and to @sheldon.santos for being there to capture our moments … and the biggest hug to my children’s favourite and all our silent pillar @len5bm.”

On February 7, he had shared photos from the birthday bash and captioned it, “Happiest birthday to the brightest sunshines (x2) of my life! My life is forever changed, for the best with you two coming into it with your goofy and adorable laughs, unadulterated sass towards ME and of course - an abundance of love to give to the world! Never change...grow up but never change!”

He also thanked his mother Hiroo Johar, who has been co-parenting the kids with Karan. “And thank you to my mom, who is forever the strength of our family...and being a mother figure to Yash & Roohi! Love you forever mom.”

Yash is named after his late father Yash Johar and Roohi is an anagram of his mother Hiroo Johar’s name.

On the work front, Karan Johar is yet to announce his next directorial. However, Dharma Productions has an array of line-ups in terms of films and OTT content.
