Shahid Kapoor, Pankaj Kapur, and Mrunal Thakur will be appearing on the upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show recently to promote their forthcoming film, Jersey. The film's original April 14 release date has been pushed back to April 22. Sony TV has released a new teaser for the show, which features Shahid and Pankaj Kapur, and Kapil took advantage of the occasion to embarrass Shahid in front of him.
Ahead of the promo release, Kapil Sharma shared a selfie with Pankaj Kapur on his Instagram. Kapil was all smiles as he posed with the veteran actor and wrote, "Have grown up watching his tv serials and movies, what a versatile actor and a great human. It was an honor meeting and hosting him on our show. Thank you @officialpankajkapur sir for gracing our show with your presence. your great fan."

Jersey is a Hindi version of Gowtam Tinnanuri's Telugu film of the same name, which was released in 2019. In the film, Pankaj Kapur plays Shahid's coach, and Mrunal plays his wife.
