Kangna’s bikini refusal – Much ado about nothing : Bollywood News

Much has been said and written about Kangna's refusal and subsequent nod of approval when it came to wearing a bikini for Rascals. However, if the makers are to believed, there were no such conversations whatsoever with Kangna and she was always in agreement with her bikini scenes right from the time she had signed the film.

"These are rumours created by detractors of Kangna who want to shift focus from her recent success Tanu Weds Manu as well as the good line up that she has ahead of her", says a friend of the actress, "She is not the kind to create a fuss, least of all something like a costume. Everyone knows that in the film industry such things are clarified right at start. Moreover, Rascals is a professional setup with seasoned folks working on it."

For the uninitiated, Kangna is said to be wearing a two piece bikini for an important sequence in the film. Though she hasn't shied away from skin show before, case in point being films like Fashion, Woh Lamhe and Life In A Metro, this is for the first time when she would be wearing a bikini on screen. This is the reason why she was supposed to have developed cold feet and refused to don the costume. However it was after much persuasion that she agreed and reported for the shoot though with her set conditions intact where she demanded her to be presented in the manner that she wanted.

"Yeh sab bakwaas hai, aisa kuch nahi hua tha", one catches David Dhawan, the director of Rascals, in a rather fiery mood her, "When you shoot abroad, some people take advantage of your absence in town and start spreading rumours. I have been in the industry for over two decades now but such things still don't fail to surprise. Pata nahi kahaan se log kuch bhi sunte aur bolte hain."

Settling down and getting back to his jovial self, Dhawan lends a hearty laugh soon after and adds, "I guess negative publicity is also good publicity. Perhaps this is the way we all function today. Kangna is such a lovely girl to work with and I am glad she is a part of my film. She was so good in Tanu Weds Manu and her presence in my film only adds further value to it. She hasn't given me any pain whatsoever. When I would love to work with her again, why would I be allowed any gossip to be spread about her?"

Well Dhawan saab, we would want to know the 'real truth' (if at all it is any different) after the release of Rascals. Till then we are fine living in the goody goody world of wonderland where aal izzz well!
