Kangana Ranaut, the versatile Bollywood actress, recently shared some exciting updates about her upcoming projects in a conversation with IMDb. The actress revealed that she is set to star in a thriller alongside acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi, as well as two other intriguing films, Noti Binodini and the surprising Tanu Weds Manu 3.

In a recent interview with IMDb, the actress unveiled her busy schedule, confirming her involvement in three upcoming projects. Among these, she will be starring alongside Vijay Sethupathi in a thriller. The actress stated, “I am starting a thriller with Vijay Sethupathi sir. And a film called Noti Binodini. And another film called Tanu Weds Manu 3.”

The announcement of a third installment in the Tanu Weds Manu series took many by surprise, given that director Aanand L. Rai had previously denied any plans for a sequel. In a 2015 interview, Rai had stated, “I won’t make a third part just because it is a brand, or because it will work. Let’s not treat it like a series. Right now, there is no part three. I think I am done with the characters, at least for now.”

Even lead actor R. Madhavan had echoed a similar sentiment, suggesting that the franchise might have reached its conclusion. He remarked, “I think that’s water under the bridge. There is no point in beating a dead horse… You know, it’s so difficult to come up with original stuff, and then there are expectations of a film. See, if it’s a sequel to Avengers or a superhero series, it’s easier because you have a template. But with Tanu Weds Manu, it’s impossible. And I think I am done with it. I don’t want to go back to being Manu now.”

Kangana was last seen in Tejas. Ranaut is awaiting the release of her second directorial venture, Emergency. Based on the 1975 Indian Emergency, the ensemble star cast also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. It is all set to release on November 24.
