Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently took a trip down memory lane and share an old photo with filmmaker Anurag Basu. She recollected her memories from the sets of Life in a Metro (2006).

On Saturday, Kangana took to her Instagram stories and shared a throwback photo featuring her and Anurag Basu. Kangana was pictured wearing a dress that featured a black and white pattern, and she had her hair tied back in a ponytail. Meanwhile, Anurag Basu was dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt and appeared to be pointing at Kangana while engaged in a conversation with her. Sharing the picture, Kangana captioned, “All thanks to this mad genius @anuragbasuofficial who launched me 17 years ago on 28th April 2006 here is a picture of him and me from life in a metro set (2006) this is how he trained me.... 'Tu chup kar (You keep quiet)' is his favourite training phrase...ha ha I love you Anu...thanks for everything.” She further added, “I was told actresses have 4-5 years shelf life... Well, I completed 17 years yesterday....”

Helmed by Anurag Basu, Life in a Metro released in 2007 and was a commercial and critical success upon its release. The film has since become a beloved romantic drama among audiences. The ensembled cast also included Shilpa Shetty, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kay Kay Menon, Irrfan Khan, Sharman Joshi and Shiney Ahuja. The film followed the lives of several characters living in Mumbai, exploring their struggles and relationships in a city that is as chaotic as it is beautiful.

On the professional front, Kangana had announced the wrap of Emergency. The film has piqued the curiosity among viewers. The actress, who is also donning the director’s hat, will essay the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In the pipeline, she also has Tejas, Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, The Incarnation: Sita, a biopic on Bengali theatre personality Noti Binodini and Chandramukhi 2.
