Using her Instagram Stories, Kangana posted a picture of John and wrote, “I may have said a lot about negative people in the film industry but I must never forget those also (who) are absolutely genuine and inspiring. I worked with John and I don't have enough words to express how amazing he is, and many may not even know it because he won't pay the media for singing his praises. He is kind and sorted, no marriage or relationship PR, no paid negativity for others, no harassment or taking advantage of women, no agenda or groupism, simply a wonderful man...love you John.” In her subsequent Instagram Story, Kangana asserted that she and John share similarities in their approach towards their household staff, emphasizing their shared commitment to treating them with fairness and empathy, “There is an agent who provides house help to almost everyone from the film industry who live in Bandra and town area, he once told my manager that all his house helps and drivers are treated badly by film industry people, in his entire career only two people from the industry he found who treat house help like their own family - John Abraham and Kangana Ranaut. Huge respect for this self-made man @thejohnabraham who is not only a successful super model, actor and producer but also a successful man in every way.”

Meanwhile, coming to the film front, Kangana was last seen in Dhaakad, which also featured Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. The film performed poorly at the box office. Currently, Ranaut is awaiting the release of her next film, which is also her second directorial venture, Emergency. Based on the 1975 Indian Emergency, the ensemble star cast also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry and Milind Soman in pivotal roles. It was slated to release on October 20. However, to avoid a clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s Ganapath, Kangana cancelled the release. Ranaut has said that she will announce the release date a month prior along with its trailer in a tweet.
