After securing the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, Kangana Ranaut is now on her way to Delhi. Kangana shared heartfelt moments on her Instagram stories, including pictures from her car where she is seen bidding an emotional farewell to her mother, Asha Ranaut.
Kangana shared several pictures on her Instagram stories. She captioned the first picture, “Delhi calling.” On the other photo, she captioned, “On the way to the parliament…Mandi Ki Sansad.”
Kangana Ranaut won Mandi by more than 74,000 votes over her nearest competitor, Vikramaditya Singh of Congress. Following her victory, the actress thanked the voters on Instagram. “Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust… This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi,” she wrote.
On the work front, Kangana will soon be seen in Emergency. The film is based on the Emergency declared by Indira Gandhi, and she will play the former Prime Minister. Kangana Ranaut announced Emergency in 2021, and she later emphasized that while it is a political drama, it is not Indira Gandhi's biographical. The actress not only plays the lead in the film, but also directs it. In addition to Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, and Shreyas Talpade. Emergency was due to hit theatres on June 14, 2024, however it has since been postponed.
