Actress Kalpana Iyer, best known for her iconic song Ramba Ho from the film Armaan, recently looked back at her time working with late actor Vinod Khanna in the 1981 film Kudrat. Sharing her memories, Kalpana spoke about the actor’s behaviour on set and the impression he left on those around him.

While talking to IANS, Kalpana described Vinod Khanna as calm and respectful in his interactions. Speaking about her experience during the shoot, she said, “He was always polite, always gentle, always with a pleasant smile.” She further added that she never witnessed him losing his temper, saying, “I have never seen him be angry or upset with anybody.”
Kalpana also spoke about Vinod Khanna’s screen presence and the effortless style he carried. She remembered how his walk and overall personality stood out naturally. “If Vinod Khanna walked into a room and you didn’t stop to watch, then there is something wrong,” she said, highlighting how his presence would immediately grab attention. She also added, “His walk cannot be copied,” calling it one of his most distinctive traits.
Vinod Khanna, who became one of Bollywood’s biggest stars through the 1970s and 1980s, built a strong filmography across action, drama and romance. He passed away in 2017 after battling cancer.
Kalpana Iyer’s recollection has once again brought attention to Vinod Khanna’s legacy, with many fans remembering him not only for his films but also for his personality and conduct off-screen.
