Before the release of his debut film, Maharaj, Junaid Khan is in the news for all the right reasons. The latest update on that front is that the soon-to-be debutant has extensively prepped for his role and even undergone a remarkable physical transformation. From what we hear, the young actor has lost an impressive 26 kilos in a span of only two years, to get into the skin of his character.

It seems that actor Junaid Khan is following the footsteps of his father Aamir Khan, who too have undergone such extensive transformations for his films. In fact, it is being said that his efforts left the crew stunned and many were also said to have been inspired by his dedication. Sources close to the actor assert that his dedication to his craft is evident in the significant change in his appearance, from his healthy avatar to his current, leaner physique. In fact, the sources revealed that the actor wanted to showcase his hard work and determination in his debut film.

Coming to his debut film, Maharaj, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and actress Shalini Pandey in key roles. It is all set to release on Netflix on June 14. While several updates about the film, including a glimpse of it which was unveiled in February, has added to the curiosity, we hear that the trailer too will be unveiled very soon.

Speaking of Junaid Khan, apart from Maharaj, he is also expected to work on other projects simultaneously which are in the pipeline. In addition to this, Junaid has been working on another significant project with acclaimed actress Sai Pallavi, shot in the picturesque locales of Japan. Stills from this project, which went viral a few months ago, but further details are yet to be revealed. Another project that has garnered attention is an untitled project with Khushi Kapoor. This collaboration has piqued the interest of fans who are eager to see the two young talents together for the first time.
