John Abraham is all set to headline the multi-starrer comedy, Pagalpanti. The film has created a lot of buzz and the trailer justifies the title of the film. With an elaborate star cast that includes Arshad Warsi, Ileana D’Cruz, Pulkit Samrat, Anil Kapoor, Kriti Kharbanda, and Urvashi Rautela among the others, the film has garnered quite a lot of appreciation from the audiences.
The promotions for the same have been going on in full swing and in one of the interviews, John Abraham opened up about his further projects as an actor and producer. John has produced some of the finest films including Vicky Donor, Madras Café, Parmanu, and Batla House. He also opened up about releasing films around Independence Day and said that he feels that the Independence Day belongs to him; not just from the commercial angle of it but also from the feelings it brings forth.
He currently has a handful of projects lined up including Mumbai Saga, Rensil D’Silva’s next, Gorkha – which will be jointly produced by him and Nikkhil Advani, and Ray. The actor will be directed by Nikkhil in Gorkha that will revolve around the Gorkha regiment and says that Ray is one such genre that the Indian film fraternity has not explored as yet.
Speaking of his protégé, Ayushmann Khurrana, John said that he has chosen well with Vicky Donor and it was surely a brave choice. But no one is as happy and proud as him when the filmmakers approach Ayushmann for ‘different’ scripts.
Pagalpanti is slated to release on November 22 with Anees Bazmee as the director.
