Known for his stunts and adrenaline pumping sequences, John Abraham recently returned to what he does best – a high-octane action entertainer with Vedaa. The film features him in the role of a former military officer turned mentor for the titular character essayed by Sharvari Wagh. With the film garnering a good response and appreciation, the actors decided to celebrate the occasion with the entire team and John’s wife Priya Runchal shared glimpses of the same on social media.

It is a known fact that John Abraham is a self-confessed recluse on social media and while his wife Priya Runchal is busy with her career, the latter played the perfect cheerleader for her actor-hubby during the release of Vedaa and continues to share her support and celebrate the moment with him after the film hit the cinema halls. Taking to her Instagram page, Priya Runchal shared some inside pics from the success bash that was planned to commemorate the positive response the movie has been receiving, in which we can see a happy John posing with the team, including filmmaker-producer Nikkhil Advani.

For the unversed, Vedaa aims at showcasing the extensive caste divide that exists in the interiors of India with Sharvari Wagh essaying the role of a talented boxer who has to fight prejudice, the system, and the autocracy of their village leader in order to achieve her ultimate goal. Abhimanyu, played by John Abraham, turns into her savior-guide with the film also featuring Abhishek Banerjee as the leading antagonist and Tamannaah Bhatia in a key cameo. The actioner, directed by Nikkhil Advani, released in cinemas on August 15 along with two major Bollywood releases, namely, Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein.
