The makers of South Korean drama Jinxed At First unveiled the first look at Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and Na In Woo’s characters in the upcoming fantasy rom-com series.

The newly released poster features a set of contrasting items shedding light on the two unusual characters of the mystical love story. On the right side, we see Seul Bi in pink, with pictures of a teddy bear, lollipop, and fancy glove in the background. The left side sees Gong Soo Kwang in blue with various images of seafood including squid, shrimp, and fish in the background. With the two sides taped together, the poster hints at the unlikely meeting between “goddess of fortune” Seul Bi and “man of misfortune” Gong Soo Kwang.

The production team shared, “The meeting of the two leads, who appear to be living in different worlds with the boundary between fortune and misfortune between them, will deliver a new type of entertainment. We hope that this becomes a drama that is like an unexpected windfall and a gift given amidst everyday life to the viewers. Furthermore, we hope that viewers preview the vibe of ‘Jinxed at First’ through the symbolic items within the poster.”

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Jinxed at First is a fantasy romance drama based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells the tale about what happens when a poor, unlucky man, who has accepted his unfortunate fate, meets a goddess of fortune, who jumps out into the unknown to undo a curse despite having been hidden away by a chaebol family. Na In Woo will be playing Seodong Market’s fish seller Gong Soo Kwang who has a special jinx, and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun will be playing Seul Bi who has the special ability of seeing the future of the person she touches.

Directed by Yoon Sang Ho and written by Jang Yoon Mi Jinxed At First will reportedly premiere on June 15, 2022.
