Bigg Boss 19’s latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode featured a special appearance by former Indian women’s cricket stars Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra, alongside host Salman Khan. Their presence celebrated the Indian women’s cricket team’s historic maiden ICC Women’s World Cup victory.

In a promo video shared by the makers on Instagram, Salman warmly welcomed the cricket legends and spoke about Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, noting that the duo had promised Jhulan that they would bring the trophy home.

Recalling that moment, Jhulan Goswami said, “Jab woh trophy leke mere samne aaye (when they came to me with the trophy), it was the biggest moment in my cricket career.”

When Salman asked about the impact of this victory, Anjum Chopra reflected on the inspiration it would bring to young girls, saying, “Jo parents hai unki daughters jo hai woh next Jhulan, Smriti, Harman bane. Wahi ek cheez hai joh drive karegi next generation ko. (It will encourage the daughters of parents to become the next Jhulan, Smriti, and Harman. That’s what will inspire the next generation).”

Following the episode, Jhulan shared photos from her appearance on X (formerly Twitter), posing with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra, all smiling for the camera. She captioned the post, “This month so far has been filled with many unforgettable nights, and this was definitely one of those nights. Had such a lovely time sharing the stage with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra on Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar.”

The episode came shortly after the Indian women’s team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated South Africa by 52 runs on November 2. After the match, the team presented the World Cup trophy to cricket veterans Jhulan Goswami, Anjum Chopra, and Mithali Raj, honoring their significant contributions to Indian women’s cricket.

The historic win has also reignited discussions about the release of Jhulan Goswami’s biopic, Chakda Xpress, starring Anushka Sharma, which had been delayed due to a disagreement between the production house Clean Slate Filmz and Netflix.
