When Navya Nanda brought up the term "Jaya-ing," associated with her cold equation with the paparazzi, Jaya responded with mixed feelings. While she admitted to not minding people making fun of her, she criticized the quality of the memes, urging for better execution.

Navya Naveli Nanda, trying to delve into pop culture, explained the term "Jaya-ing" to her grandmother, emphasizing its significance in contemporary discourse. Despite the term's negative connotations, Jaya Bachchan appeared indifferent to its implications, suggesting she isn't concerned about being a pop culture phenomenon. Jaya Bachchan said, “I don't mind people making fun of you or laughing at you. I don't mind that. But the people doing the memes are so bad, they should do it properly.” Navya told her, "You should teach them," to which Jaya responded, “Why should I teach them?”
