The entertaining trailer of Jatt & Juliet 3 was launched today in a multiplex in Mumbai in the presence of actors Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa, director Jagdeep Sidhu and producers Manmord Singh Sidhu and Dinesh Aulakh. Diljit raised laughs as he remembered Darshan Singh Grewal, the producer of Jatt & Juliet and Jatt & Juliet 2.

Diljit Dosanjh said, “Darshan paaji called me to offer a film (Jatt & Juliet). I had some issue with him. I decided that ‘Inke munh pe main film mana kar ke aaunga’!”

He added, “But in filmy style, he offered me a signed blank cheque. He also told me, ‘Paaji, paise bhar lo. Film karni hai’. I didn’t imagine in my wildest dreams that mere paas ek blank cheque aayega! I feared my manager might ask me to decline him. So, I took him aside and asked him who charges the most in Punjabi cinema. He mentioned Gurdas Mann sir’s name and that he charges a certain amount. I decided to ask for the same price as Gurdas sir, hoping that Darshan paaji would refuse. We even added TDS to the final amount!”

Diljit Dosanjh continued, “But he said, ‘Ok. In fact, take Rs. 1 lakh more’. That’s how he signed me. He sent us to Canada for the shoot aur fir unke paise khatam ho gaye!”

Diljit revealed, “Manmord Singh Sidhu was handling the production. He had access to all the data. Darshan paaji told him, ‘Film edit karni hai. Data de do’. He replied, ‘Paise de do’! Darshan paaji confessed that he doesn’t have money. Hence, Manmord paaji said that he'll release the film overseas. That’s how he became the producer.”

Diljit laughed as he further said, “Jab aur paise kam pad gaye, toh yeh aaye (Dinesh Aulakh)!”

Diljit Dosanjh then added, “The producers were like ‘Humein film mein Neeru Bajwa leni hai’. We then told her, ‘Hum sabne Rs. 5-5 lakh liye hai. Please hamare saath film karo’! Neeru ji was then paid more than me.”

He also said, "After Jatt & Juliet became a hit, it was Darshan paaji who approached me yet again with a blank cheque. Again he told me, ‘Paise bhar do’! I decided, ‘Jo industry mein koi nahin leta, utna charge karunga’. Mera jo standard hai, woh Darshan paaji ne khada kiya hai. We miss him and we love him.”

Jatt & Juliet 3 releases in cinemas on June 27.
