The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the thrilling IPL 2024 final, played at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Adding to the excitement, Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, currently promoting their upcoming film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, were spotted cheering on the KKR at the stadium.

Janhvi Kapoor trained under the guidance of KKR's assistant coach Abhishek Nair for her role in Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. During the match, Kapoor and Rao recreated the iconic pose from the movie poster, sharing pictures on their Instagram accounts where they donned the avatars of their characters, Mahinder and Mahima. She captioned the post, “Mr and Mrs Mahis’ day out.”

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi boasts an impressive ensemble cast beyond the lead actors. Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab, and Purnendu Bhattacharya all play pivotal roles in the film.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is backed by Hiroo Yash Johar. Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta of Dharma Productions. The film arrives in theatres on May 31, 2024. This film marks the second collaboration between Kapoor and Rao, following their appearance in the 2021 horror-thriller Roohi.

Looking beyond, Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming projects include Stree 2 alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Triptii Dimri.

For Janhvi Kapoor, the future holds the romantic comedy film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari where she shares screen space with Varun Dhawan. She is also venturing into Telugu cinema with her debut in Devara: Part 1 opposite Jr. NTR, followed by an untitled film alongside Ram Charan.
