IU reveals how swift the process was while making ‘Eight’ with BTS’ Suga

The highly awaited collaboration between Korean sensations IU and Suga of BTS released on May 6 and since then the duo has broken many records in Korea and worldwide. Their song 'Eight' depicts the story of overcoming hardships. It debuted at No. 1 on World Digital Songs becoming the first song for both the artists.

While promoting her single, IU recently went undercover to check out what fans were talking about her on social media. During the segment with 1totheK channel, she came across the Vlive of Suga and RM where they spoke about the song 'Eight' before it released. Surprised by RM's reaction to the song, she was seen laughing as she said, "I thought it was my song," after listening to RM's high pitch voice where he was teasing the fans that he had already heard the song!

Suga, who has worked with several artists, mentioned that he has been listening to it lately and the song came out well. "since the work proceeded so smoothly we didn't actually exchange that much either. I listen to it so often," he said.

Listening to his kind words, "He gave me such a big compliment. As Suga said, the work has proceeded really fast. Without using our brains that much time, Suga sent me a track & I sent the melody and we just recorded it. Thank you."

Not only did the song swept international and domestic charts, 'Eight' received Perfect All-Kill on all Korean charts which include daily, realtime charts, and also the weekly chart. IU is the reigning queen with most PAK in the history of Korean music. This is the first All-Kill for Suga as a solo artist.
