“It’s impossible for me to even imagine being with Ranveer” – Anushka Sharma

Fed up of being constantly linked to her Band Baaja Baaraat co-star, Anushka Sharma who says she has been compelled to be constantly seen in Ranveer Singh's company for marketing and promotional events connected with their hit film has decided to take break from the rumours. She will now spend more time with her family. In her commodious residence on Yari Road, there're separate rooms for her parents and brother for them to visit her as often as possible.

She wants to reclaim her role as the family girl.

"And the only way to do is to get out of Mumbai, go on vacations with my close friends who are not part of the industry, to spend time with my parents and brother. Recently, my parents had come visiting and to my regret I had very little time for them. I really need to spend more time with the people I'm really close to," says Anushka.

Anushka recently took a vacation with some of her childhood friends. "I'll be doing much more of that. This whole business of being constantly talked about my supposed relationship has taken its toll on my family life. I want to get out of this rigmarole."

She candidly admits being constantly seen in Ranveer's company fuelled the rumours. "But what could I do? We were invited together everywhere including the awards functions. What was I supposed to say? That I won't go with him because I don't want to fuel speculation? No way! I am not going to stop being who I am and start living a lie just because it is convenient for me."

Ranveer and Anushka are now doing another film Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl together. Anushka is sure there will be more speculation on their relationship, although she very clearly says she "hates" Ranveer. "Ya, I hate many things about him. When we are together we are constantly arguing and quarrelling. It's impossible for me to even imagine being in a relationship with Ranveer."

Anushka thinks it is demeaning to hide a relationship. "If I am in a relationship, I won't hesitate in talking about it. To hide it is to belittle it. But I've never been in any relationship so far. Boys have never sent me flowers and chocolates on Valentines Day. That didn't change this year, although so much has changed after Band Baaja Baaraat. Yes, fans send me stuff. But not in THAT way."

Anushka hopes Ranveer would get into a relationship soon, so the rumours about her would end. "The only way people will stop talking about the two of us is if one of us gets into a relationship. I can't see myself getting into one. So I hope Ranveer finds a girl soon. Mere peeche log nahin padenge."

About the new film that they've signed together Anushka says, "Would you believe, I still haven't found the time to sit with the director Maneesh Sharma and discuss my role and script? We've all been so busy taking Band Baaja Baaraat forward. All I know is, I trust Maneesh completely. So what if the film is named after Ranveer's character? Watch out for me."
