Call it God's way of formulating his own plans but this is indeed happening, and all in good time, for the Shroff family. While it is a known fact that the father-son jodi of Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff dotes on each other, it would be a special outing indeed for them in theaters as well, what with their respective films releasing on the same day at the box office.

States an observer, "While Sajid Nadiadwala had confirmed Tiger's Heropanti for May 23 arrival long back, the postponing of Eros' Kochadaiiyaan to the same date means that Jackie would be arriving on the big screen as well."

Not many are aware that the Rajinikanth starrer also has Jackie Shroff in a pivotal role. He plays Raja Mahendra in the film and is a key character in the animated drama.

"Kochadaiiyaan was supposed to be released a while back but now that it has moved ahead due to technical issues, it finds itself in the same area as Tiger's Heropanti. It isn't a clash per se though since both films are entirely different in presentation and treatment with Jackie and Tiger playing very contrasting roles," an insider comments.

However in the world of Indian cinema, this is history being created, what with a father and son arriving on the same date.

The insider adds, "It would be a moment of pride indeed for the Shroff family to be practically there in majority of screens across the country. Reason being that Kochadaiiyaan is arriving in multiple languages while Heropanti is the only notable Hindi film of the week. Though in the past a few sons have made their debut alongside their father, it has been for the same film. This is for the first time ever that a father and his debutant son are being seen in two different films."

Now this may as well find a place in the record books.
