A new cinematic collaboration is on the horizon as Applause Entertainment, Window Seat Films, and Reliance Entertainment join forces for Imtiaz Ali’s next theatrical film, described as a charming story of love and longing. The upcoming film boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah.
With a contemporary and witty narrative that delves into the emotional depth of human connections, the film is expected to blend soul-stirring music with Ali’s signature storytelling style. The Mumbai leg of the shoot was completed last month, and the team is currently filming in Punjab for the next schedule.
Vedang Raina took to Instagram to share photos of him visiting the Golden Temple along with the team of the film and it has garnered ample attention from fans. He posted it along with a message that read, “Asking for strength and blessings to show up better everyday. All in and surrendered to begin this next chapter of my life and ready for whatever it takes from me and gives to me. Grateful to be a part of this special film and privileged to be working with the most amazing and talented set of people”.

Imtiaz Ali, Ali, who is known for exploring complex emotions through heartfelt storytelling, said,

The project brings together an impressive creative team along with the exciting casting coup, as it marks the reunion of Imtiaz Ali, A.R. Rahman, and Irshad Kamil—a trio that has previously delivered some of Indian cinema’s most memorable soundtracks.
The film is being produced by Applause Entertainment, Mohit Choudhary, and Reliance Entertainment, under Window Seat Films, and is scheduled for a Baisakhi 2026 theatrical release.
