Imran Khan has finally opened up about the reasons behind his separation from ex-wife Avantika Malik. "Without going too much into that part, because I'm hesitant to add a lot of fuel to the gossip fire, but as I was dealing with all of this baggage and all my internal struggle, I did find that my marriage and my relationship were not helping any of that," Imran shared.

Reflecting on the dynamics of a healthy relationship, Imran continued, "In an ideal, healthy dynamic between two people, you are both making each other better, healthier, stronger, and supporting each other to be the healthiest, best, strongest version. We were not in that place." His candid revelations shed light on the personal challenges he faced, contributing to the end of his marriage.

Imran and Avantika married in 2011 and have a daughter named Imara. Rumours of their separation started circulating around 2019, although neither had publicly commented on it until now. Avantika had subtly hinted at their troubled relationship through her social media posts. In 2021, she shared about feeling 'stuck' and finding solace in the 'darkest nights'. By last year, it became apparent that the couple had decided to part ways.

Imran Khan, who made a successful debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008, has been away from the silver screen since his last release, Katti Batti. The actor was set to make a comeback with a Disney+ Hotstar spy series, which unfortunately got cancelled.
