Imran Khan opens up about co-parenting with ex-wife : Bollywood News

After retiring from the film industry, Imran Khan opted to abandon his flashy celebrity lifestyle in favor of a more modest one. In an earlier conversation, Imran discussed leaving his luxury home to live more modestly, with only a few household things. He recently claimed that he cares for his daughter without the aid of a babysitter.

He told the Hindustan Times that he handles all of his daughter Imara's requirements on his own, including transporting her to school and making whatever meals he can. He highlighted the significance of being there in her life, even during his bouts of melancholy about pursuing his acting profession, “I do all of the stuff for Imara without any nanny. I drive her to school myself in the morning. I pick her up. The limited amount of cooking that I can do, I do for her. I put her to bed. And that also is something that I was very conscious… rather than going off and trying to act in movies while I’m depressed. I was like, forget that. The most important thing is she should have the memory and the experience that in my childhood, my dad was the one who would drive me to school,” he shared.

Imran went on to explain that he and his ex-wife, Avantika Malik, share custody of their ten-year-old daughter, splitting the week between them. He confirmed that their divorce was finalized and all legal paperwork had been signed. Despite the public nature of their occupations, Imran believed that these were personal matters that did not need to be shared with the general audience. He is now involved in a relationship with Lekha Washington.

Imran, who made his debut in the popular film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and appeared in films like Delhi Belly and Katti Batti, exited the film profession after his last feature. His current social media activity has sparked talk about a future comeback to acting.
