After captivating audiences with memorable performances in films like Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly among others, Bollywood Imran Khan’s return to the big screen is eagerly anticipated by fans who have long cherished his work. Imran had taken a step back from acting after his film Katti Batti failed to make an impact at the box office.

In a candid interview with Vogue India, Imran Khan shed light on his decision to step away from acting. He revealed, “I hit a low in 2016 where I felt broken inside.” Despite financial stability, which he attributed to his successful career, Imran admitted to lacking excitement about his work. “Luckily, I was working in an industry that had rewarded me financially, so by the time I was 30, I didn’t have to worry about money.”

The turning point came when Imran became a father and realized his priorities had shifted. He expressed, “I decided it was no longer my job to be an actor. Now, I had to fix myself; be at my healthiest and strongest for my daughter.”

Imran Khan's hiatus from acting was a conscious choice driven by the desire to focus on his personal well-being and his role as a parent. However, his absence from the silver screen left fans longing for more of his performances.

For the unversed, Imran Khan is Aamir Khan's nephew. He made his debut in the 2008 movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na which also starred Genelia Deshmukh. He also went on to star in Break Ke Baad opposite Deepika Padukone, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan opposite Katrina Kaif, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola opposite Anushka Sharma, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
