Salman Khan is definitely one of the busiest actors in the film industry. The actor is already busy with his upcoming action thriller Race 3. He has also begun work on his next Bharat. Meanwhile, one of the most awaited projects of Salman Khan is Dus Ka Dum which is returning this summer. While we have been keeping the readers updated on the upcoming reality show, promos, and music video, the show is ready to air soon and the press conference for the same was held on May 28.
During the interaction, Salman Khan revealed that when he made his television debut with Dus Ka Dum back in 2008, he was scared to reveal his real self on Television as his image was not reputable at the time. But 9 years later, he is happy to back with the revamped version of the show and more comfortable with the audience. “This show came in first in 2008, and I marked my TV debut. My image was not reputable at that time and I was really scared to come and show my original personality through Dus Ka Dum, but then I decided to come on TV. I got support from a lot of people. Then, I thought let’s do this. I felt that TV is the most powerful medium around, I asked my father whether I should do it because there will be the common man. I was scared of being me or who I am,” Salman said at the show’s launch in Mumbai.
Salman took his father, writer Salim Khan’s advice, who told him, “This is what you are. Go and show the world who you are. If you’re accepted, its okay, if not, then change yourself.”
“On the TV show, I act the way I would I do in real life. People accepted me the way I am, they got to know who I am. I have enacted many roles in films like Prem and Sameer and people started knowing me by those characters. But when I started my career on TV people knew who Salman was. That’s why I tell stars to feature more on TV. It was then that I realized the power of TV.”
Dus Ka Dum will start airing from June 4. The show will have new elements but will retain its original essence. He will return with the classic tagline, “Kitne pratishat Bharatiya chahte hai ki?” One interesting thing about the new season will be that there won’t be celebrity guests.
