Knock Out finally released yesterday after all the flip-flop that took place in the Court where the film was dragged due to its apparent similarities with Phone Booth. As everyone associated with this Mani Shankar directed film is finally taking a sigh of relief, Kangna too cheers up while talking about Knock Out where she is playing the role of a journalist for the first time in her career.

"Well correction, I am not just a journalist; I am a crime journalist in the film who is reporting live on the action from a crime scene", smiles Kangna who is finally letting her hair down for screen, the last instance being her hit flick Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, "It was quite edgy to be actually portraying such a character. In order to get tips on body language and the tone of reporting, I did actually watch the clippings of a few journalists reporting from crime sites."

“I’d like to interview journalists on their deepest secrets” – Kangna

Though the film appears to be centred primarily on the two men - Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan, Kangna insists that she has an important part to play in the narrative as well.

"Yes, of course this is a film which is primarily about interaction between Sanjay and Irrfan. Still, there is a lot happening on ground too and this is where I come into the scene, literally so, by reporting all that is happening live in front of me. You know, the fact is that Knock Out is actually a very different film. A fast paced action thriller is a first for me too. Moreover, since the entire story takes place in just two hours, it further goes on to add to the fun."

Though it is expected that she would have limited in-person interaction with both Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan due to the way the film's plot has been set, she has fond memories of the time that she spent with them during the making.

"It was an amazing experience to be working with them. They are both great actors and have so much experience, its a privilege to work with them", comes an expected response from Kangna who would next be seen in Anees Bazmee's No Problem
, Indra Kumar's Doouble Dhamaal and David Dhawan's Rascals - all with Sanjay Dutt.

On a parting note, one can't help but as her - 'What would she do if she indeed became a journalist in real life? Whom would she want to turn the tables on?'

"I'd like to meet every journalist who has interviewed me and ask them questions about their personal lives and deepest secrets", winks Kangna without taking more than a second to arrive at this one, "It would be fun to see them in a situation where they feel that their privacy is invaded and they are being judged."

Point taken girl. May be we will talk about your personal life, the deepest secrets and that 'special someone' in our next conversation once you are through playing a journalist!
