The anticipated trailer for an aerial action film, Fighter, arrived on January 15, 2024. Directed by the Pathaan and War director Siddharth Anand and presented by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, Fighter starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor promises a fusion of heart-racing action sequences and a patriotic undertone. The trailer showcases the tragic 2019 Pulwama attack which unfolded on February 14. Inspired by the events, the story sees Rishabh Sawhney play the role of the villain.
Following the trailer release on Monday, Hrithik Roshan dropped the poster of Rishabh as he introduced the villain, “Locking eyes with the villain.” Bloodied and bruised, Rishabh is wielding a gun on the poster.

So, who is Rishabh Sawhney? The 28-year-old actor has previously appeared in Nikkhil Advani’s The Empire. He played the role of Babur's brother Mehmood. He was the casting assistant on the show. He was a part of the crew of other web series like Kaun Banegi Shikharwati and Bestseller. He has worked as a model for several brands.
Fighter will be available in theatres in 3D and 3D IMAX formats and is scheduled to hit theatres on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day, January 25th, 2024.
