Housefull 3 has hit team of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Sajid Nadiadwala and Sunil Lulla set for a hat-trick

This is one franchise that is only getting bigger with expectations of better collections in every edition. Now that the third instalment of Housefull is set to release on the first Friday of June, expectations are massive by all means, more so since there is a steady team collaborating on it.

"Housefull is one of the rare franchises that has its actors and producers sticking on to each other," comments an observer, "When Sajid Nadiadwala and Sunil Lulla came together for the first time in Housefull [2010], none would have imagined that it would be making its presence felt more than half a decade down the line. Later, the sequel Housefull 2 [2012] turned out to be an even bigger success and was the first 100 crore success for Sajid. Now Housefull 3 is releasing after a four year gap but the recall value is so huge that one expects very good footfalls once it opens."

Meanwhile, the key actors have continued to be associated with the film right through.

"Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are the faces of the film, and they are truly enjoying what they are doing in there. Housefull by its very nature needs them to go goofy and this is one franchise where they literally let their hair down. Amidst all the other serious or not-so-serious work that they do, Housefull is one set up which allows them to unwind," a source from the production house adds.

Since for Nadiadwala Grandson as well as Eros International this is one big franchise to bet on, the making of the films have always turned out to be no-expense-spared outing, hence resulting in being lavish affairs.

"For both Akshay and Riteish too the film holds a lot of sentimental value since Housefull 2 was their first 100 crore success," another source adds, "It is a mutually beneficial set up for them both. Also, they have great relationship with both Sajid and Sunil. As a team, they all really gel well."

While there have been other entrants in Housefull [Arjun Rampal], Housefull 2 [John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade] and Housefull 3 [Abhishek Bachchan], other common factors are Boman Irani and Chunkey Pandey who have lent an element of familiarity to the franchise.

"Moreover, the ladies have always been ultra-glamorous and gorgeous," the observer says, "This time around, they have only set the bar higher. Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon in a single frame, what more could you have bargained for?"

Guess the scorching summer is only going to turn hotter once the film hits the screens.
