Veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini is one such beautiful actress who has won several hearts with her acting, charm and talent. She has served many iconic roles and made her mark among the top actresses of Bollywood. She is known as the Dream Girl of Bollywood. She recently spoke about married actresses who have to make certain compromises after marriage. She believes that their spouses should be understanding of their desire for the audience to see them on screen and be supportive of their decision to resume their careers post-marriage.

Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are continuing their careers even after getting married. The veteran actress responded during a press conference when a reporter raised the question and gave instances of actors Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt who got married during the peak of their respective careers and continued to act in films.

ANI quoted Hema Malini saying, “I will not react to this much because I never stopped, I got married and continued working non-stop. So perhaps people saw me and are following me. It’s nice, the husband should understand that the woman, whom he married, is a very talented person and people love to watch (her). But the wife has to sacrifice a little, being a wife. She cannot immediately produce a child, then you know there is a stop. So, if you are at that age and you are ready to work then why not. If the producers are ready to sign you for such a huge amount and all then great,” she added.

Hema Malini and Dharmendra tied the knot in 1980. They embraced parenthood in 1981 and welcomed Esha Deol. In several films, including Andha Kanoon, Jamai Raja, Seeta Aur Geeta, Sholay, Dream Girl, Alibaba Aur 40 Chor, and a few others, Hema and Dharmendra appeared together onscreen.

Hema Malini had played small roles in Pandava Vanavasam and Idhu Sathiyam. In 1968, she was chosen to play the lead opposite Raj Kapoor in Sapno Ka Saudagar and started being known as the Dream Girl.
