One of the most successful directors of Bollywood, Rohit Shetty, celebrates his birthday today. His last film Cirkus (2022) might not have worked at the box office. But his track record remains intact and his next film, Singham Again, is one of the most awaited films of 2024. On this special occasion, we bring to you an interesting aspect about Rohit Shetty that has caught the attention of a few observant netizens.

A look at the various pictures of Rohit Shetty will give you an indication that he believes in wearing a black band on his wrist. And that’s not all. Even his leading actors seem to have followed suit. Shah Rukh Khan in the 2013 blockbuster Chennai Express also had a black band tied around his wrist. 2 years later, Varun Dhawan was seen doing the same in Dilwale (2015). Then Ranveer Singh wore it in Simmba (2018). Last year, the picture of Sidharth Malhotra being injured on the sets of Rohit Shetty’s web series, Indian Police Force, was out. And even here, the dashing actor was seen with the black band firmly set on his wrist.

On this, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “Rohit Shetty has been wearing it since childhood. His mother asked him to wear it and Rohit agreed to do so.”

The source continued, “Shah Rukh Khan spotted Rohit Shetty wearing it. He quite liked it and asked Rohit if it was fine if his Chennai Express character Rahul is seen wearing one. Rohit agreed. And then it became a trend. Varun Dhawan wore it in Diwale, so did Ranveer Singh in Simmba and Sidharth Malhotra in Indian Police Force.” As per sources, Shilpa Shetty will also be wearing the black band in Indian Police Force.

Meanwhile, an important announcement was made with regard to Singham Again. The action entertainer is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2024. Ajay Devgn will be seen reprising the role of Bajirao Singham and this time, he’ll be joined by Deepika Padukone. Deepika’s casting in Singham’s third part was done unexpectedly by her and Rohit Shetty at the launch of the song ‘Current Laga Re’ from Cirkus. The actress had a special appearance in this film and she was seen shaking a leg with her hubby, Ranveer Singh, who was the lead actor in Cirkus.
