Thums Up added a music-led element to the India vs Pakistan ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match by featuring rapper Hanumankind for a live stadium performance. The artist performed the brand’s latest anthem ‘Taste the Thunder’ along with a few of his tracks, turning the match into a combined sports-and-entertainment moment.
According to the brand, the performance was designed to match the intensity of the high-profile fixture. With Hanumankind’s rap verses, the set contained a high-energy finale featuring Kings United India, adding a dance segment to the act. Reacting to the experience, Hanumankind said, “It’s incredible to perform at a match like this one. You can feel the energy in the air. Being able to do this with Thums Up is special, it’s a good time to be a fan of sports.”
The anthem ‘Taste the Thunder’ brings together Hanumankind’s rap verses with vocals by Vishal Dadlani. The track was launched earlier at a press event in Mumbai and is being positioned as part of Thums Up’s ongoing campaign built around its “Toofani” identity. Sumeli Chatterjee, Category Head, Sparkling Flavours, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, said the India-Pakistan clash remains one of cricket’s biggest moments and added, “The atmosphere in the stadium was absolutely electric! Thums Up has been an integral part of such moments of high-intensity and excitement for cricket.”
