Besides Hansal Mehta’s execution, Netflix’s original series Scoop has garnered praise for Harman Baweja’s fine performance. Despite having limited screen time, the actor managed to impress the critics as well as the audience. Now weeks after the web show started streaming on the OTT platform, filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to his social media handle and penned an appreciation note for Baweja.

On Monday evening, Hansal shared a behind-the-scenes picture, featuring him with Harman. The actor-director duo appeared to be discussing a scene. “Giving it another chance,” exclaimed Mehta in the caption. He further added, “Harman Baweja has truly been a revelation.”

Heaping praises on the actor, the director continued and wrote, “Silencing his ‘Critic Roshans’ with his performance. Here’s Baweja proving that nothing is ever ‘Bewajah’. And in the process making all of us proud.”

Meanwhile, in the comments section many “agreed” with Hansal and lauded Harman’s performance. “Unblemished performance indeed! In fact it wasn't a performance, he looks so real,” wrote a user while another commented, “Indeed it was. Couldn't believe it was him.”

For the unversed, produced by Matchbox Shots, Scoop is inspired by real events and Jigna Vora’s book, Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison. It series track crime journalist Jagruti Pathak. In pursuit of a career-defining story, she is caught between the powerful nexus of the police, the underworld, and the media when she is charged with the murder of a fellow journalist. Besides Baweja, it features Karishma Tanna and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in the lead.
