Harman Baweja, who made his Bollywood debut in the 2008 film Love Story 2050 produced by his father, Harry Baweja, failed to make any mark in the film industry. He went on to star in several movies like Victory, What’s Your Raashee which also did not get noticed by the audiences. Soon, he vanished from the industry. However, Hansal Mehta got him back on screen in the 2023 series Scoop and revived his career. Harman was praised for his performance as ACP Shroff in the story inspired by real-life incident.

Speaking to casting director Mukesh Chhabra during his interview with Mashable India, Hansal recalled how he persuaded Harman Baweja for the series. He said, “I had to emotionally blackmail Harman. I had confidence in him. His father had not been well for some time so I just told him, ‘Do this for your father. I promise you he will be really proud.’ He then told me, ‘If you say such a thing…’ But when the reviews came out and everybody appreciated Harman, he video-called me and Harry Baweja started laughing and crying like a child after reading the reviews. It was his dream. Harry ji had launched Harman but nobody knows how talented his son is. That was one of the biggest achievements of my career.”
