In the spotlight for over a year now due to his rumored relationship with singer-actor Shehnaaz Gill, singer-songwriter Guru Randhawa is reveling in the attention. “I feel very good about it when people talk about my dating life,” quips Randhawa. He enjoys the speculation and feels flattered when fans link him with beautiful girls globally, saying, “It feels great, every boy wants that attention.’’

The buzz started with their romantic music video "Moonrise" last year, followed by their appearance together at the screening of Gill’s film Thank You For Coming. Their latest single, "Sunrise," released in January, further fueled the rumors, as did their frequent mushy Instagram reels. While Randhawa neither confirms nor denies the relationship, he playfully adds, “I want people to keep doing that [talk about my love life] for me. Even if I am not dating somebody right now, because of that news, I might start dating someday soon.”

On the professional front, Randhawa is thriving. He made his acting debut with Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay alongside Saiee Manjrekar, which he describes as an amazing experience despite the film's average response. “One should explore themselves every minute, every second of every day,” he shares. Balancing his music and acting career, Randhawa has two more films slated for release this year and continues to drop new music, including his latest Punjabi single "In Love" featuring Raja Kumari.

Comparing the experiences of shooting for films and music videos, Randhawa notes that both require different commitments but are equally fulfilling. He praises his collaborator Raja Kumari, mentioning, “She is someone very different from everybody I have worked with so far. She also sang in Punjabi for the very first time, it was very new for all of us, and her energy is quite amazing.”
