Amitabh Bachchan spoke about having 5 releases in 2022 at the Goodbye trailer launch.

The trailer of the much-awaited family drama starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna was unveiled by the makers. The story of Goodbye revolves around self-discovery, the importance of family, and the celebration of life in every circumstance beautifully depicted by the Bhalla family. It is a heartwarming story of every Indian family ever that takes the gloomiest period to make sunshine and promises to be closer though a loved one has gone far away. While the cast was present at the trailer launch on Tuesday, Big B joined via zoom calls since he recently recovered from COVID-19.

Goodbye Trailer Launch: Amitabh Bachchan says he wants to see goodbye to COVID-19; on having 5 releases in 2022: ‘I have had 7-8 films released in a year’

“I want to say Goodbye to Covid,” he told the audience which left them in splits. He added, “I recovered from COVID recently and I have been asked by doctors to avoid public appearance. But I am joining the event through a digital medium.  I apologize for not being able to attend the event.”

When asked how he feels about having 5 releases a year, the actor said, “This isn't a new thing for me. We had multiple releases in a month back in the day. I have had 7-8 films released in a year. Due to Covid, there have been delays in films and hence there is a backlog. I hope, people like Goodbye. I hope, in some time, people will experience films in the same way in OTT and theatre.”

Amitabh Bachchan was seen in Jhund and Ajay Devgn's Jhund recently. He will be starring in Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Goodbye with Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta and Uunchai alongside Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and more.

The film stars Neena Gupta, Pavail Gulati, Elli Avram, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta, and Abhishek Khan in pivotal roles and is helmed by Vikas Bahl. Produced by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co., GoodBye is all set for worldwide release in cinemas on 7th October 2022.
