Geetika Vidya reveals fun bond with Tera Kya Hoga Lovely co-star Randeep Hooda: “His comradery doesn’t fade away!”

en Bollywood News Geetika Vidya reveals fun bond with Tera Kya Hoga Lovely co-star Randeep Hooda: “His comradery doesn’t fade away!”

Geetika Vidya and Randeep Hooda's latest film Tera Kya Hoga Lovely, which also stars Ileana D'Cruz, is currently running theaters.

A good film set is where energies are aligned, jokes are cracked and stories are shared-- all of what actor Geetika Vidya Ohlyan found in her latest film Tera Kya Hoga Lovely. The Haryana-set social comedy-drama offered her the opportunity to work alongside actor Randeep Hooda and Geetika revealed how the duo hit it off from the start over a gentle moment of humour.

In the Balwinder Singh Janjua-directed film, the actors feature as cops and Geetika described her camaraderie with Randeep as "lovely." Narrating an experience from the shoot, Geetika recalled how she had to ride a pillion on a bullet with him when Randeep turned to her and gently told her, "Hold the shoulder."

"That's like someone asking you to hold their hands. However when it is said in Haryanvi--'Kandha pakad le, na tale pad jyaagee (Hold the shoulder else you would fall off)' - it sounds different! It feels like you're being reprimanded for being silly! We had this funny give and take between us, so what he'd say to me, I'd always have a comeback and he would be receptive to it."

Geetika said beyond the fun and banter, Randeep was an earnest actor looking at the film holistically. "If my hat would be tilted even slightly, he would adjust and correct it." The equation the duo formed was also on display even on Randeep Hooda's wedding day, as she recalled a funny incident where the former referred to her as her character Chandrawal from the film. "He introduced me to the media and said, 'Inki photo zaroor lena bhai ye humari Chandrawal ji hai!" His comradery doesn’t fade away!"

After her breakout debut film Soni, this is the second time Geetika will be seen in a uniform. But choosing to play a cop for Tera Kya Hoga Lovely was an instinctive decision, after turning down the opportunity in several other films.  "After Soni, I was offered serious cop parts repeatedly, but I kept saying no... As an artist, I work religiously on keeping myself mentally, physically and spiritually healthy. One maintains neutrality of being with the help of yogic tools, measures at the cost of feeling alienated from familial, social, and cultural ecosystems. And all of this for what? To be doing the same part again and again? No."

"Being offered the same kind of parts has been a space I have tried to give minimum energy to. I trust my capabilities and vision of directors like Balwinder Janjua, Honey Trehan, Gaurav Madaan, Dibakar Das Roy and Neeraj Yadav who have given me parts that look and sound quite varied from each other," she added.

Tera Kya Hoga Lovely also stars Ileana D’cruz and released in cinemas today, that is March 8.
