Famous choreographer Geeta Kapur, affectionately known as Geeta Maa, has returned as a judge on Sony TV's dance reality show, "India's Best Dancer 4." Joining her are long-time colleague Terence Lewis and the new judge for this season, Karisma Kapoor. As the show kicks off its latest season, Geeta Kapur took the opportunity to address some persistent rumours about her personal life and assets in a candid interview with Navbharat Times.
On rumours about her wealth
When asked about the most surprising rumours she has encountered, Geeta Kapur humorously responded to claims about her supposed extravagant assets. "All of us, who are associated with the film industry, have to face rumours about our assets. Like I saw somewhere that someone wrote that I have cars and bungalows worth crores. Then, I think where are all these? I should also know. I think where are these cars worth crores? I want to drive them. Where are those bungalows worth crores? I want to live there. In which bank do I have these crores of rupees? I want to spend them," she said, adding that the government is well-aware of her actual assets as she dutifully pays taxes on them.
Addressing marriage speculations
Geeta Kapur also took a moment to debunk rumours about her marital status. "Another rumour that spreads about me is that I am married. That I have gotten married secretly, which I have not done. If I had gotten married, I would have said with great pride that yes, I am married, I have many children. This rumour should just be stopped," she clarified.

India's Best Dancer 4 premiered on July 13 and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm on Sony TV. Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis have been integral parts of the judging panel since the show's inception in 2020.
