Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma calls Sunny Deol-starrer “emotions of billions”; compares the actor to Abhimanyu from the Mahabharata 2 : Bollywood News

Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is once again in limelight for his upcoming film Gadar 2. Recently, the makers of the forthcoming film unveiled the first glimpses of Sunny Deol’s character Tara Singh in the film. While the brief glimpse of him has left fans excited, filmmaker Anil Sharma took to his Twitter handle and wrote a note for fans.

For the unversed, ZEE Studios recently dropped a video montage, which features mini-clips of all the upcoming projects backed by them. Being one of them, Gadar 2 also grabbed a spot in the line-up. In the short video, Sunny was seen in a fierce avatar as Tara Singh. Seeing the look of Sunny Deol related to Gadar 2, the fans' excitement about the film will increase.

Coming back to the tweet, Anil Sharma shared three images; two among them were the screengrab of Tara Singh lifting a cartwheel. Meanwhile, one of the images drew a similarity between Tara Singh and Mahabharat's famous figure, Abhimanyu, who is known for his bravery. In the note, Sharma wrote, “#GADAR is not just a film .. #TARASINGH is just not a character,it’s emotions of billions. people of ind n abroad..they are trending #Gadar2 every day .. posting photos n their emotions..we love n respect them,pls wait little more, announcement of release date will cm soon,” followed by a couple of Namastey emoticons.

Speaking of the upcoming sequel of the 2001 release, Gadar 2 will reportedly continue the story of Tara Singh, his wife Sakeena (Ameesha Patel), and son Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma). In the first instalment, Tara Singh crossed the border to bring his wife back. In October 2021, the makers dropped the motion poster of the forthcoming film. A few weeks back, Luv Sinha, who will be playing a significant role in the film, shared that he is shooting in Ahmednagar for the last schedule.
