Disney+ Hotstar is all set to release the biggest extraction series of the year, The Freelancer, based on the book - A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat. Directed by Bhav Dhulia, the show is produced by Friday Storytellers and Neeraj Pandey is the creator as well as the showrunner. Along with Mohit Raina in a titular character, Kashmira Pardeshi plays a young girl trying to escape the endangers of a worn torn country along with Anupam Kher in a pivotal role.

The summary of The Freelancer can be described as the extraction mission of a man trying to help a young girl held captive in a war-torn hostile environment of Syria before she succumbs to the world of death. Kashmira Pardeshi is seen essaying the role of Aliya in the show which is expected to be a emotionally challenging role.

Recently, Kashmira was seen decoding her preparations for the character and how it impacted her. Talking about it, Kashmira Pardeshi revealed, “So, what has happened to Aliya has not happened to me incidentally, not in exactly those circumstances. But there came a patch where we shot all the interiors at a length where Aliya has gone through so much pain. And, when I started replaying these emotions back-to-back for a week or ten days for that schedule, it did put me in an anxious state. There were a few nights I couldn't sleep, I used to be in a state of fear for small things and I didnt realize this until much later that it's because I have been in that state for a while. But yeah, I did experience that with Aliya.”

The mission of The Freelancer will start from September 1, 2023 onwards, only on Disney+ Hotstar Set. The Freelancer also features an ensemble cast including Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik, Manjiri Faddnis, Sarah Jane Dias amongst others.
