Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt celebrated a significant win at the Filmfare OTT Awards 2023 as she clinched the prestigious Best Actor, Web Original Film (Female) award for her Netflix debut, Darlings. The recognition marked a pivotal moment in Alia's career, and she took the stage to express her gratitude, especially extending heartfelt thanks to her Dear Zindagi co-star and co-producer, Shah Rukh Khan.

During her acceptance speech, Alia Bhatt took a moment to acknowledge Shah Rukh Khan's pivotal role in making Darlings a reality. She shared an anecdote about Shah Rukh Khan's supportive gesture, saying, “I would firstly start off by thanking Shah Rukh Khan for giving me the first opportunity to produce a film. I remember Shah Rukh calling me and saying, 'Main usually doosron ke saath film produce nahi karta but tere saath karunga because I love you (I usually don't produce films with other but I will do it with you because I love you).' So thank you for that, if it wasn't for you, this wouldn't have been possible.”

Alia's words highlighted the special bond between the two actors and the trust Shah Rukh Khan placed in her for this collaborative project. The actress expressed her gratitude for the unique opportunity to step into the producer's shoes and bring Darlings to fruition.

Darlings, a Netflix original film co-produced by Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies, has been widely appreciated for its refreshing narrative and stellar performances. Alia's recognition at the Filmfare OTT Awards reflected the success and acclaim the film has garnered since its release.

As for Alia Bhatt, the actress was last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film released in theatres on July 28, 2023, and received rave reviews from critics. She was also seen in her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone. In her pipeline, she has director Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
