Fawad Khan, who originally established himself in Pakistani television dramas followed by movies, embarked on his Bollywood journey in 2014 with the romantic comedy Khoobsurat opposite Sonam Kapoor. He quickly followed it up with critically acclaimed performances in films like Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Following the 2016 Uri attacks, Pakistani artists faced a temporary ban in India, effectively halting Khan's Bollywood trajectory. However, with the Bombay High Court lifting the ban in 2023, possibilities of a comeback have emerged.

Meanwhile, Fawad Khan will be starring in Pakistan’s first Netflix-original show, Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo. The series is set to be an official adaptation of eminent author, Farhat Ishtiaq’s best-selling Urdu novel by the same name, which was published in 2013. The series also stars Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Hania Aamir among others.
