Fatima Sana Shaikh returns to Punjab for Ul Jalool Ishq after Dangal : Bollywood News

Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is best known for her role in the Aamir Khan starrer blockbuster film Dangal, has embarked on a nostalgic journey as she returns to the picturesque landscapes of Punjab to shoot for her upcoming project, Ul Jalool Ishq. Having garnered love for her performances in Dangal, Fatima hopes to create more magic in the region which witnessed the beginning days of her cinematic journey.

A source close to the actress revealed, “Fatima believes that life has indeed come full circle for her when she found herself once again in the vibrant state of Punjab, where also she shot for the Aamir Khan starrer with Sanya Malhotra. Recalling the shooting locations in the villages of Gujjarwal, Narangwal, Kila Raipur, Dango, and Leel in Punjab and Haryana during the making of Dangal, she is immersed in a wave of nostalgia”.

Fatima Sana Shaikh along with the rest of the team unveiled the announcement poster of Ul Jalool Ishq earlier this year and the ensemble cast indeed has ignited palpable excitement among fans. The film including stalwarts of the film industry such as Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Sharib Hashmi, and others who will be seen playing pivotal roles. Produced by Manish Malhotra under his banner Stage 5 Productions, the film will be extensively shot in Punjabi, especially Amritsar. Directed by Vibhu Puri, the music will be composed by Vishal Bhardwaj and the lyrics will be penned by the legendary Gulzar. The film is said to have gone on floors on January 9.

Meanwhile, Fatima also has Metro In Dino with Anurag Basu in the pipeline. The film, which is a sequel to the 2007 starrer, traces the journey of multiple modern relationships set against the backdrop of a fast-paced city. It stars Ali Fazal, along with Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher.
