From doing path breaking roles to exploring OTT, Fardeen Khan pens an emotional note about returning to the Indian entertainment industry.

Fardeen Khan, who is now a busy man, decided to take over a decade long sabbatical from the Indian film industry with his last release in 2010. However, 14 years later, fans of the star were thrilled to see him make a strong comeback with his role as a Nawab in the much-acclaimed SLB series Heeramandi and later in films like Khel Khel Mein and Visfot. Now, amid shooting for his next venture – Housefull 5, Fardeen decided to lookback at his comeback journey and penned an emotional note on social media.

“For me, this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. Three back to to back to back releases, a web show debut with #HEERAMANDI, an OTT film debut with #VISFOT and finally a return to the silver screen with #KHELKHELMEIN.”, he wrote in a post which was shared on Friday. He went on to recall how he began his comeback journey and added, “When I began this journey in 2021, after being away for twelve years, it felt like I was staring up at Mount Everest—daunting, overwhelming, almost impossible. Yet, step by step, the climb became its own reward. I’ve learnt that life is about embracing chances. Never hesitate to rewrite your story, no matter how impossible it might seem. Resilience shapes the soul, perseverance fuels the climb, and dreams light the way forward and eventually the world begins to align with your vision. To feel seen, valued and acknowledged is a joy that words scarcely capture for which I remain eternally grateful to everyone who played a part. I am especially grateful to my fans who’ve stood by me, even when the lights were dim, and I was standing backstage. Your love and support has meant everything. So here’s to rising, to redefining, and to believing.”

On the work front, Fardeen Khan will mark his debut in the Housefull franchise where he will be seen sharing screen space with several stars including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Chitrangda Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, among others. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film is expected to release on June 6 next year.
