Vishal Vashishtha is not new to the screen. From TV, films, to OTT, he has steadily built his space across different formats. With his upcoming Netflix series Glory, he’s now taking that journey a step further with a role that adds a strong layer to the story.

When speaking about how he prepared for the audition for Glory, Vishal explained, “Once the script comes to me, I sit with it and try to figure out different ways to perform it. I read the scene again and again, and every time, I notice something new - a word, a moment, or an emotion that feels worth exploring.”
He added that this repeated reading helps him connect better with the character before stepping in for the audition. “When you finally go to audition, you just go with what feels right in that moment,” he said, highlighting how instinct plays a key role in his performance.
For Glory, one of the major requirements was speaking in a Haryanvi dialect. Vishal revealed that he already had some past experience with the dialect, which helped him prepare further. “I had worked on a Haryanvi dialect a few years ago, so with this project, it felt like a good opportunity to explore it more deeply,” he shared.
He also spoke about taking help from his father to understand the nuances better. “My father has grown up with many Haryanvi friends, so I spoke to him about the attitude and behaviour of a typical Haryanvi man. That really helped me get into the mindset of the character,” Vishal added.
Recalling the audition itself, the actor said, “When we performed the scene, we tried to bring the character to life, and thankfully, the creators liked it. That’s how things moved forward.”
Vishal also opened up about what made him instantly say yes to the project. He admitted that the excitement began the moment he heard about Glory. “To be honest, I was excited from the word go. As I started reading the scene, I began to really enjoy it. It felt well-written, and that made me even more interested,” he said.
He further explained that several factors made the decision easy for him. “When you learn about the directors and creators, and see how talented they are, it adds to the confidence. The cast already on board looked strong, and of course, Netflix as a platform - this is my debut there,” he shared.
Summing up his decision, Vishal said, “A character like this, which I’ve never played before - a cop, with a Haryanvi dialect - there was so much to explore. There was no way I was saying no to this.”
With a fresh role, a new platform, and a challenging character, Vishal Vashishtha seems ready to bring something different to the screen with Glory.
