In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, trade analyst Taran Adarsh spoke about the international performance of Dhurandhar, highlighting the film’s strong box office response across multiple territories including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. Speaking about the film’s overseas performance, Adarsh said, “In the US and Canada, the film is doing such business that it is remarkable. The numbers coming from these markets are very strong.”
He also addressed the response in the United Kingdom, where there had been speculation prior to release that the film might face challenges due to demographic factors. According to him, the actual performance has contradicted those expectations.
“In the UK, where there is a large population from our neighbouring country Pakistan, despite that I mentioned in my report yesterday that in just six days this film crossed the business of many major films including Animal, and it still shows no signs of slowing down. Just imagine how far it can go from here,” he said.
Adarsh further spoke about pre-release assumptions regarding the film’s overseas prospects, especially concerns that global tensions could impact theatre attendance in international markets.
“Before the release, someone told me the film would not do well overseas. I asked why. They said because of the war situation people would not go to theatres. But look at the business this film is doing now. It is breaking records and setting new ones as overseas numbers have started coming in,” he added.
With strong figures being reported from multiple territories, Dhurandhar continues to maintain momentum across international markets, according to trade observations shared by Adarsh.
