With War and now Pathaan, Siddharth Anand is basking in the glory of two blockbusters back-to-back. Following the Rs. 780 crore gross worldwide collections and the nett collection in India standing at Rs. 401.40 crores, Pathaan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, continues to shatter box office records. In an exclusive conversation, Siddharth spoke at length about what it’s like working with Deepika.

When asked about working with Deepika Padukone in Pathaan, Siddharth Anand told Bollywood Hungama in an exclusive video chat, “Deepika Padukone is a massive star and you realize it when you work with her and watch the expectations of her fans. She's like a hero. She's akin to like a three-hero film – Shah Rukh Khan, John and Deepika, three hero film totally. So you have the pressure of mounting and satisfying those fans of hers. And she's so effortless, she is so full of grace.”

He added that Deepika Padukone is “brilliant to work with. She's like you want to see her on set. She is like eye candy also. She's so effortless on screen when she does action, when she does the motion, when she dances, she's a complete Hindi film hero.”

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is currently running in theatres in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has two more releases this year – Atlee Kumar’s Jawan releasing in June followed by Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in December.

On the other hand, Siddharth Anand reunites with Hrithik Roshan for the third time after Bang Bang and War through Fighter. The film also marks his reunion with Deepika Padukone. The movie will release in theatres on Republic Day 2024.
