Shashwat Sachdev has become a household name and one of the biggest musical names in the country thanks to his stupendous work in Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026). The early morning shows of both films were affected to some extent as there was a delay in dispatching the prints. It was said that it happened due to last-minute fine-tuning in music and other departments. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shashwat Sachdev opened up about this aspect.

Shashwat Sachdev said, “We always joke that even if someone gave us six more months, we would probably still be working until the very last day! The truth is that we were never racing to finish. We were racing to get it right. There is a big difference between completing something and merely delivering it.”

He added, “For me, the goal was never to cross a finish line. The goal was to make sure that when the music reached the audience, it carried the emotion, detail and honesty we intended. If we had wanted to simply finish the work, it could have been done much earlier. What took time was the pursuit of the version we truly believed in.”

Dhurandhar The Revenge featuring a reimagined version of ‘Oye Oye’ from Tridev (1989) and it was called ‘Rang De Lal’. Tridev’s director, Rajiv Rai, objected it and said that it was a case of copyright violation.

When asked about his views, Shashwat Sachdev replied, “I would prefer not to comment without fully understanding the legal and creative details involved. I have immense respect for creators and for intellectual property. At the same time, I believe conversations like these deserve accuracy and context before opinions are formed. So, I would rather speak only after I have complete information.”
